Skiing in Valloire
Country: France
In a nutshell: An authentic mountain village with some great skiing for beginners and intermediates
We like:
- The traditional and very French mountain village, centered around a baroque church
- With 70% of the ski area over 2000m, there’s lots of high altitude skiing
- Lots of shelter in bad weather thanks to the tree-lined runs
- Lots for non-skiers to do
We don’t like:
- Not much good skiing for advanced skiers
- Still a few too many drag lifts
- Some flat areas make it hard for snowboarding
